14 of the club swimmers attended the Gloucester Open at the weekend with Strong swims from all. Thanks to coaches, team managers and officials.
The Southwold battle for the biggest PB was hard fought with Skye Jee taking 76 seconds off her 400 free time. Thomas Burney reduced his 400 free time by just under 35 seconds and Jonathan Newman swam 25 seconds faster in his 200 free as well as picking up 3 top 8 medals.
Jon Lowther won 3 Golds and 2 Silvers and beat the club 400 freestyle record despite stopping for a short rest after 14 lengths !!!
Jasna came home with 4 Golds and 1 Silver. Josh Holloway took Silvers in the 100 & 200 Breast. Other medallists were Matthew Reeves 1 Bronze and 2 Top 8 medals and Jess Swales with 5 Top 8 medals.
Peter Lewis knocked 2 Seconds of his 200 free time, taking Gold and the clubs over 19 record.
Ben Rawlins had an excellent day winning 7 Golds and 1 Silver reducing Peter Rogers 400 IM club record by over 5 ½ seconds and taking 2 ½ seconds of the 200 free record held by G Smith. Mr Smith wherever you are, according to the club records your record stood for 30 years, but it has now gone.
